I decided to test out the Sparkie Fire starter and boil some water using my zebra pot. This is a one handed fire starter. The package came with the wetfire tinder, but I saved it for another day. I used some birch bark and some twigs as the base of my fire using my hobo stove. I used a DIY cotton fire starter (using mink oil) to get the initial flame. I had to practice a few times to get the right amount of pressure & force correct. I did find that it produce a lot of sparks and after a few tries was able to light my fire starter and boil some water. http://www.ultimatesurvivaltech.com/ust_website/root/sparkie_fire_starter.html Sparkie™ from Ultimate Survival Technologies features one-handed operation in a lightweight, compact design.
