"I think the proper way to look at the Middle East today is that it is a bipolar system," says Gary Sick. "You have Israel in the west and Iran in the east, as centers of power. They are the two most influential countries in the whole Middle East . When you stop and think about it, this is fairly strange. They are non-Arab."
