Thursday's train was nothing but one car for the Ultra-Poly plant in Portland. The two unit H76 nearly takes the bumper off a Freightliner at the South Main crossing before continuing onward with their run. Afterward, the train makes its way back to MC with none other than 3381 on the point. The engineer made sure to give lots of friendly blasts from the horn as he rolled by, even an attempted "Shave and a Haircut, Two Bits!" Also note that one of 3381's rear facing horn bells is chipped rather badly...Must have struck a mighty tree branch with that one....Ouch. I hope it holds up though, as I don't want to see the horn get replaced, or worse, TURNED AROUND! D:
