Police have their pictures. Now they are hoping that someone can help them put names to a young couple suspected of using stolen credit cards. A surveillance photo of the couple carrying two young children was released Wednesday. Investigators said the cards and checks have been used at stores throughout southern Jackson and northern Cass counties. Officials said the couple has purchased tools, exercise equipment and household cleaning materials, among other things. "We're talking thousands of dollars at retail stores, convenience stores and restaurants in southern Jackson County," Officer Scott Grant said. Grant also said it was "disturbing" that the couple took their children with them on the fraudulent shopping trips. Police in Kansas City, Pleasant Hill, Lee's Summit and Independence said they have received numerous reports of daytime car break-ins, and that the credit cards and checks have been taken. In each case, car windows were broken.
