Emergency crews are evacuating some homes in west Baltimore after a gas line was struck Wednesday afternoon. Baltimore City fire and hazmat crews were called around 2 p.m. to the 800 block of Ellicott Driveway near Edmondson Avenue in west Baltimore after contractors working in the area of the railroad tracks struck a large gas line.
