My own mother, Patricia, once told me, that before I was born,  she had 'stormed the gates of Heaven' (in prayers), for the life of my sister, who was seriously ill and might die. I never fully understood this wild emotion, until I, myself, became a mother. 
 Living at Bealtaine Cottage, once a forlorn, abandoned home set in some of the poorest land in Ireland. Land restoration through planting has been a work of faith and hope and Colette weaves this passion for the Great Mother into all of her work, writing about, photographing and filming Mother Earth in all her seasonal joy and beauty. Bealtaine Cottage now shines as a beacon of hope, that all is not lost and we can bring forth Eden, even in the midst of so much destruction.
