120,000 people in Germany die of sudden cardiac death each year. Emergency physicians at the Charité think many of them could be saved. They find that many people are unable to help sufferers in the decisive first minutes after a cardiac arrest. For the first time,a Charité study documents deficits in the first aid education the public receives.
