Burkina Faso's Salif Diallo and former right hand man to the ousted head of state, Blaise Compaore, was on Wednesday elected president of the new National Assembly of Burkina Faso. Diallo becomes the second personality of the State. Diallo, age 58, is an executive of the Movement of the People for Progress ( MPP), the party of the new president, Roch Marc Christian Kaboré. He got 78 votes out of the 127 that makes up the assembly.
