For this part I'm showing off the entirety of Accordia. Accordia is the hub city of DQH2. All roads begin and end in Accordia. What with it being right in the center of the entire world. Going around the town introduces a lot of features, pretty much all of them having tutorials and not all of them available right away. Since the game explains most of everything, and a lot of it is self explanatory, I won't go into too much detail here. There are weapon and armor shops in the main square, as well as an alchemy shop for upgrading accessories, and a quest giver which has a few particularly interesting quests mixed in with generic grindy ones. I'll be showing the interesting quests as we go on. Inside the tavern we have the lady at the bar to change our party, a martial artist to teach us new abilities as weapon proficiency increases, a priest to change our class and equippable weapons, and then we have a little girl that gives us optional dungeon challenges. I dabble in those waaaaay later at the end of the game after finishing the story. They can be played cooperatively and some of them are so hard they sort of have to be. You can also play as all the characters from DQH1 in these dungeons, but they don't have good skills and it's such a hassle to upgrade their weapons it's very impractical to actually use them. Still, the option is there if you want to kick ass as Psaro. The building opposite of the tavern takes us to the Mini Medal shop, the accolades counter, the monster suppression list, and a guard that gives you reward whenever you increase your Renown level. The Mini Medal shop has access to some of the best equipment in the game but cost a tooooon of Mini Medals to purchase. The accolades just reward you whenever you get a trophy by tossing a few Mini Medals your way. The Monster Suppression quota gives you gold for slaying monsters. The guard gives you various items as you increase your renown throughout the game. Renown is increased by doing just about anything, but mostly by fighting Wanted monsters, which only spawn after a certain amount of a monster type appears. The rest of the town is full of NPCs you can talk with, which all change dialogue as the story progresses. The big castle at the end leads to the King of Accordia's chambers, which is an important area we will frequent quite a few times throughout the games story. And that about covers the basics of Accordia. Some of the stuff I mentioned isn't available just yet, so just keep it in mind for later.
