Meet the women of Dantewada, a district where the women have come forward to solve poverty and unemployment through community businesses. This has led to an efficient channel for government's schemes to reach the masses and have made many rural women self-sufficient. Four women from Project Shakti of Dantewada district, who countered the way of extremism by taking up micro-entrepreneurial ventures with the help of the district administration to build multiple SHGs registered under various schemes of the Government of India such as ICDS, NRLM. By linking 950 women SHGs and more than 10,000 women/ families to an objective income generating scheme, Project Shakti has effectively helped counter the LWE propaganda.
