Libya has been plunged into turmoil as Islamic fighters are said to have taken the nation’s capital Tripoli. Air strikes on Libya's capital have come as a shock to the United States, according to US officials. The air strikes, so far attributed to the United Arab Emirates, come amid an escalation of conflict between rival militia groups in the country. Joining Jonathan Steele to discuss the latest events are Richard Reeve, the Director of the Sustainable Security Programme at Oxford Research Group, and on Skype by Dr Mattia Toaldo, a Policy Fellow at the European Council on Foreign Relations.
