This was one of the more action packed days, where we literally couldn't pack much more into our schedule.

We started out with a pleasant surprise in the form of epic fighter jets launching at the Newcastle Airport where they are training the fighter pilots. Our understanding was that you can see these fighter jets most of the week, year round.

The main goal of the day though, was to visit the industrial city of Newcastle, which was a fantastic mixture of marvellous beaches and charismatic buildings and a sense of personality and history. It was easy to feel that this city has been through a lot.

The highlight for us was definitely the rockpool, which we randomly found out was in Newcastle as we saw it on a photo in a gallery. DEFINITELY go there if you are nearby Newcastle.

Finally we wrapped the day with a visit to the desert that we have been talking about in the previous two vlogs. And boy was it a great experience.

Neither of us have ever been to a desert with this surreal setup where you have the ocean clashing with the desert. Unfortunately we didn't get a chance to ride the camels, but it didn't matter, and if you saw the video you know why. It was BEAUTIFUL!
