JACKSON COUNTY, N.C. -- Investigators say one man was shot in the arm in the parking lot of an Ingles grocery store Wednesday morning in Cashiers. Witnesses say two men had been arguing around 11 a.m.The victim was airlifted to Mission Hospital in Asheville. The suspect was taken into custody. Deputies collected information from shoppers who witnessed some of the events that unfolded. And I saw the larger of the two trucks going across here with...it sounded like squealing tires and then saw the truck come around and crash into the stand that holds the buggies, Margie McComas said. McComas' vehicle was slightly damaged. After the commotion, she went back inside the store to make sure a call went out to 911. The names of the two men involved have not been released, nor information on what led to the argument. The victim's condition remains unknown at this time. The sheriff's office says its not looking for any more suspects and advises the community there's no further cause for concern.
