Mashrafe Bin Mortaza has returned to cricket field after a gap of almost two months. He played in the Emerging Cup 2017 warm-up game for BCB Green team against BCB Red team at Fatullah on Thursday.The Bangladesh limited-overs captain got injured during a T20I match against New Zealand in January this year. He injured his thumb and could not take the field for six weeks.
The right-arm pacer took no wickets for 45 runs in his eight overs in the practice game. Nasir Hossain-led Red team won the game by four wickets. The Green team skipper said that he was struggling to get back his rhythm, but he hopes he will find his rhythm soon.
“Initially I struggled with my run-up and I also bowled no balls. I just started bowling few days back, so this practice match helped me lot. I still have one week in hand and I hope everything will be okay,” said Mashrafe.
