The first part of this video I explore the various magnets I use. Please remember at all times that the basic priceable expressed in this video are sound. A principle used for building both electric motors and electric generators. Only that this project combines these two basic principals in an unorthodox way. An ‘electric generator’ that also doubles up an an ‘electric motor’. Electric motor + generator combo. The two concerns I have are... (1) Will the small drive coil that runs at a 90° angle underneath the primary pickup coil cause some kind of unforeseen momentary conflict with the primary coil each time the drive coil is energized? Possible undesirable back EMF on the dive coil during the brief moment it’s energized? A crystal diode should resolve the issue In the event back EMF becomes an issue on the drive coil. 2 Will the three primary ‘pickup coils’ generate more electrical energy than what the, ‘drive coil’ requires/consumes to keep the motor running continuously? We must keep in mind that the closer the tolerance is between the magnet and the coils, the greater the performance. Once all parts are in, I will create a parts list of what I’m using, along with suggestions. NOTE: Before any of you start buying ‘magnet wire’ do NOT buy round wire, buy square wire. That should increase output between about 15% to 20%. Each winding must be placed perfectly flat and pressed tightly against the winding next to it.
