We take a look at the wok as the best option for prepping and survival cooking. IMO it is better than cast iron in many situations. If you are looking for a solution for cooking in a bug in or base camp situation then consider getting a wok. Be sure you are getting an authentic carbon steel wok with no coating or Teflon.
