Until the clock strikes midnight on Jan. 1, there's still time to reduces your 2016 tax bill. An easy way to do that is to pay some 2017 expenses early, like making a January mortgage payment in December, or paying now for educational expenses you expect to have next year. And there's always the option of moving up some charitable giving to before Dec. 31.
