Fire control opportunities don’t know boundaries; let’s plan with that in mind. The RMRS Wildfire Risk Management Science Team has developed a series of tools (quantitative wildfire risk assessment, suppression difficulty index, potential control locations, PODS) to support spatial fire planning including large, cross-boundary fire response.
