I wanted to use my lathe, so I decided to make a grappling hook from a 3/4" nut and bolt. This is PART 1, Removing the threads and the hexagonal shape from the bolt head. Also cutting in some grooves.
Stay tuned for PART 2, where i'll be forming the prongs and welding them to the nut.
