The Manner of its Fashioning and the Source of its Power are both Mysteries, its apparent Materials and Accoutrements being wholly different from other such Constructs. Of late, Interest in this Fiend has spread beyond the usual scholarly Crowd, leading Barrong, an aspiring Author of Bestiaries to post a Bill for this Mark.

Battle When fighting Goliath, crowd control plays an important role. The moment you see Goliath, immediately cast Dispel on him. Ignore the Baknamy(s) just Dispel it. This move is crucial since Goliath will erect a Magickal Paling in the start of the battle, if you fail to Dispel it, be prepared for a long battle. First, dispose the Baknamy(s) (no matter you success in Dispelling Goliath or not). And focus on attacking Goliath, like Automaton-enemies, Goliath can cast Graviga, which shave away about 1/2% of your HP, unless you're relying on constant Bubble status by equipping Bubble Belts, do not cast Bubble spell on your characters since this will increase Graviga's damage. Goliath mostly relies on it's Graviga Magick, as well as other types of Magicks, but it can dish out moderate damage sometimes. It can be fatal if you did not heal in time after it's Graviga attack, since this will leave you characters in a very bad condition. Be sure to finish Goliath quickly when it's health hits critical, since it'll hit fast and hard.

An alternate, simpler tactic is to cast Reflect on your characters, or equip Mirror Mails to reflect Goliath's Magicks and bash him from afar using long-ranged weapons like guns, bows, or crossbows.

Goliath is the earliest farmable source of Holy Crystal in the game. The other monsters which you can farm holy crystal from are Hell Wyrm and Yiazmat. Farming Holy Crystals from Goliath is much easier than farming from the other two much more deadly monsters.
