This is an older video I found and thought it was worth sharing. This is the 2nd recrystallization of some ammonium nitrate I was purifying from instant cold packs. This was all done for the sake of creating crystals. Maybe this is what drove my passion to create synthetic minerals such as corundum and pyrite. In any course, the surface is mesmerizing to watch as the solution is cooling down.
