Young Involved Philadelphia participated in a government forum in September inside City Hall as part of its "State of Young Philly" series. The civic minded youth met with city government officials to discuss problem solving strategies and to "Imagine Philly", to envision the Philadelphia of 2020. Issues such as job training, public transportation and poverty were all addressed as well as crime and perhaps most urgently, education. This event and more like it are part of an initiative to get young Philadelphians excited about and involved in the political process. For more information, visit http://www.younginvolvedphila.org.
