A few days later, here's an update.

I've done A LOT of things since then. I've added an extra option in the title to view your stats and access the in-game store, even though they're not implemented yet. Yes, that means there's an in-game currency as well.

There's now a song selection screen too. It will list down the charts I've added to it. Pressing UP or DOWN arrow keys will navigate through the songs. LEFT or RIGHT changes the chart difficulty (or sequence number in this game's terminology). You can also change the scroll speed with buttons 1 and 2 (S and D keys repectively).

All your scores will now total up. If your total score reaches certain milestones, your rank will increase. Increasing ranks allow you access to harder difficulties (or sequences), and possibly more songs.

There are changes to the UI as well. The main font has been changed and I've added a combo count at the top. At the end of a session, a results screen will appear regardless of clear or fail. Different text will appear depending on the outcome of your score.

...

The song used this time is A Mysterious Lab (or "The" Mysterious Lab in the video). I actually composed this using MilkyTracker sometime last year after a friend introduced it to me. Even though I've set the BPM to 78 in the tracker, it is MUCH higher outside that, so I had to recalculate the BPM manually to sync it properly.

This a manual attempt by me to show you what the gameplay would be like. The controls for the columns are SDFJKL for each of the columns respectively. Controls customization via Options menu will be next on my to-do list.

I purposely lost on second try right at the end to show that failure is possible and that would halt the game immediately.
