For the most part, these radios are very similar in terms of features. Their layouts are a little different and the X3800 has a more sleek design compared to the X2800. 

The X2800 features only red button illumination, while the X3800 allows the user to select a Custom Color Illumination with over 200,000 options. 

Unlike the X2800, the X3800 has a Steering Wheel Control Input, so you don't have to take your hands off the wheel to control the radio. 

The X2800 has 1 set of RCA Pre-Amp outputs while the X3800 has 2 sets of RCA Pre-Amp Outputs.
