In this part, I learn that it was truly Sigma that was behind all of this! He had been offering power in exchange for the death of me!

For those that don't know, Sigma was the antagonist in the previous Mega Man X games. He also begins to explain in this part that Zero had previously been a Maverick, aka a villain.
