"I Vow To Thee" on Native American Flute

This awesome melody was originally composed by Gustav Holst for his magnum opus, "The Planets." This piece can be heard in the Jupiter movement. It was adapted later as a patriotic theme for Great Britain and I want to say even Scotland, but I'm not absolutely sure about that... If you listen closely, you might also notice that James Horner might have been influenced by this piece for his work on the score for Braveheart.... ;) As for this particular performance, I wanted to showcase this flute a bit more (I made a video with it about a year ago, but since then haven't really touched the instrument). I got this flute at the Hopi House, located at the Grand Canyon, back when I went out west with my brother Jesse and his friends. I had $300 with me for food money and to help pitch in for gas, but I didn't really spend on a lot of souvenirs. When I saw this flute, I didn't even hesitate to buy it for the price of $100. Heck, if it was the only thing I brought home from that trip, I'd be happy. It sounds somewhat "airy" in this video because the totem block came loose a while back. (The totem block is the animal-shaped thing that sets on top of the sound hole. It's very important for the design of the instrument.) I tried to fasten the topper back in place as much as I could, but I think some glue might also help take care of that extra airy-ness. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the performance!
