I've loved squirrels my whole life. Ever since I was a kid, I was surrounded by them. My mother was a squirrel whisperer - she would feed them and they would come into the house looking for nuts. So of course, taming squirrels is second nature for me. If you want to get some great, epic shots of squirrels (like the well-known Instagrammer @kpunkka), there are a few steps you need to take to get the squirrels to come to you. In my video, I outline these basic steps, along with a compilation of shots from my adventure feeding and photographing American gray squirrels at the White House (in Lafayette Square / Park). You'll definitely need a bag of peanuts and some patience! And if you go to an area with a lot of tourists, the squirrels there are probably relatively unafraid already!
