This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. Gerson, an inmate at the Soto del Real prison, shares what he has learned about frailty, humanity. and how easily human beings can fail into darkness. We are all together in this world, and we need each other. The line who separates who is inside and who is outside the walls of a prison can be very fine.

Gerson is an inmate at the Modulo 10 of Soto del Real prison, in the region of Madrid. In 2012 Gerson was a speaker at the TEDxSotoDelReal event, organized with inmates and prison volunteers, Thanks to a special permission, two years later, Gerson could share with the audience of TEDxMadrid the same talk he gave two years earlier in front of his mates in Modulo 10.

About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
