US Admiral Says Commercial Ships Need Armed Guards Against Pirates

A top U.S. naval officer says commercial ships in the Gulf of Aden and Indian Ocean should carry armed guards to help defend against Somali pirates. Admiral Mark Fitzgerald also says the international community needs to go after the funding for pirates as part of the effort to end piracy in the region.
