NJ Transit Comet V 6053 Leads NJCL Train 3223 into Aberdeen-Matawan with New Crossing Bell 10/18/18

During repair work of the Atlantic Ave. crossing at Aberdeen-Matawan station, new General Signals Type 2 E-Bells replaced the old mechanical bells that were last used on Friday. The new e-bells went into service last Monday, October 15. Main St.’s crossing still has mechanical bells in use. While waiting for train 3230, I was able to film the new crossing bells in action as 3223 pulled in. Comet V 6053 led the set and ALP-46 4619 trailed. 4619 would lead 3236 later in the day.
