When asked why the Barisan Nasional senators were in favour of the Sales Tax Bill 2018, senator Khairul Azwan Harun said that they did not want to waste anymore of the Government’s time, knowing that the country is also in need of funds. The Dewan Negara passed five Bills to abolish the Goods and Services Tax (GST) to pave the way for the implementation of the Sales and Service Tax (SST) on Sept 1.
