May 7th marks one year since Vladimir Putin handed the presidency of Russia to Dmitri Medvedev, his hand chosen successor who was elected on March 1, 2008. But even one year later, it is unclear how much power Mr. Medvedev really has and whether it is Prime Minister Putin who is really in charge.
