The week before regular turkey season, Oregon offers a youth weekend to all hunters under the age of 18. They are allowed to take one turkey during the two days while being accompanied by at least one adult over the age of 21. Brody's dad wasn't able to take him out during the youth season because of a new work schedule so we were more than happy to take him out and attempt to get him his first turkey! It never has mattered to us who pulls the trigger, we just enjoy getting out of the house and being in the woods. An awesome weekend of hunting and a huge shout out to Brody on his first turkey which happened to be an 8" long beard!
