Johannesburg, January 17 - Authorities believe that Algerian-born jihadist Mokhtar Belmokhtar is behind the recent attack on the BP gas field in Amenas. Dubbed "uncatchable" by French intelligence, Belmokhtar is reputed to be the main source of weapons for Islamists throughout the region.
