The moment you become aware of something, is the moment you become immediately responsible. Someone somewhere saw a need or a cause and tried … even for us. How can we see and not do the same? What do you want people to learn from your talk? That they can make a difference no matter how scary the obstacle or the cause. Even if they fail, the attempt makes the difference. And they must, someone else is depending on their attempt. What action items do you want people to take away from your talk? Generally, we all know ‘that’ cause, ‘that need’ … we already know where there is an opportunity to make a difference, to make a connection to take a step. I want them to gain the courage through inspiration, the urgency to attempt it. Theo Schaffer currently serves as a speaker, author, while serving as the Program Coordinator of the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department’s Chief of Police and Community Service Bureau building bridges and relationships between law enforcement and community. He is married to Patrice Schaffer, with two wonderful children, Theopelis Alexander IV and Ryleigh Grace. Together they are the Senior and Executive Pastors of Grace Church Charlotte and manage Schaffer Nation, a Marketing consultation company. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
