During a break in filming I set the P229 down in the dirt for a second. The something took over me as I found myself entertained, and unconcerned, with kicking loads of dust, dirt, and gravel onto - and into - the weapon.

The Sig was filled with dirt with the magazine removed and the slide locked open. Before shooting, the magazine slid into the mag well with scraping difficulty, and the slide sounded like it was lined with sandpaper...this is what we were hoping for!

If a gun can't handle being dirty (missing a cleaning now and then, let alone intentional abuse) then I don't want it nor would I recommend it for a defensive firearm. The Sig 229 Enhanced Elite performed without flaw just as I expected given the quality that Sig produces.
