  The OMS 1.8m Slim dSMB is a tall delayed surface marker buoy that you can inflate with your octo, a low-pressure inflator hose or orally underwater.  At the top is a reflective tape that makes it easier to spot especially in low light conditions and a clear pocket for a glow stick or message to the surface.

At the bottom is a webbing strap with a metal D-Ring that makes it easy to connect to a reel. The bottom of the bag has a pair of weights that hold the bottom downwards and a fluted opening is kept closed when the SMB is inflated so it can't deflate by itself. As it ascends the gas inside will expand so an overpressure valve is fitted so excess gas can escape but keep plenty of gas inside to keep the SMB rigid on the surface.

You can always use your octo or regulator exhaust to inflate the dSMB but you can also blow into the QD fitting that is the same fitting as most BCD inflators just without the locking mechanism so you can inflate it quickly and easily with a BCD hose.
