Li Keqiang met Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison on the sidelines of the ASEAN Summit. It's the first annual dialogue between a Chinese premier and an Australian prime minister since Morrison took office in August. Li said the meeting was a turning point after a difficult period for bilateral relations. The meeting comes a week after Australian Foreign Minister Marise Payne visited Beijing. She was the first Australian foreign minister to visit Beijing in nearly three years.
