Run 1: Takahiro comes out of the gate, Kim taps the rear of Takahiro's car a bit but still manages a good start regardless. Takahiro initiates, Kim right there with Takahiro mimicing the drift angle with good proximity. Kim is a little bit on the mid lane as Takahiro shoots for the remaining outer clip on the outside. Just before Takahiro hits the 3rd outclip, Kim is right there with Takahiro on the same line in my eye. Takahiro into the switch, Kim right there still. Takahiro taking the outside clip on the 2nd corner as cleanly away from the 2-lane marker. Kim still staying with Takahiro. And right at 0:45, just at the 2nd corner exit, Takahiro going for the pullaway from Kim. Kim recovers a bit of the gap doing a slightly more inside line than Takahiro who takes the outer line to get to the outer clip at 0:49. Kim is right there on Takahiro giving pressure again. Takahiro into the switch and Kim stays on Takahiro with great proximity still. And Takahiro seemingly rides the wall up until the last clip which he narrowly misses. Kim right there with Takahiro to the very end door to door. Run 2 1:28, Kim, out the gate. Takahiro giving just enough room as he chases down Kim. Kim initiates goes to the first outclip. Takahiro initiates and stays with Kim going into the first corner. Kim stays on the outside going into the remaining clips as Takahiro goes a bit to the midline a bit. And same as in the first run, both cars are on the same line before Lead car hits the last clip. Takahiro with very close proximity. Kim into the switch. Takes the first outclip of the 2nd corner and to the last clip of the corner. Takahiro stays on Kim. The pullaway Kim makes on the switch isn't as big as when Takahiro pulls away on the first run. Kim with very big angle coming into the outclip or the 3rd corner. Hits the outclip and very near the wall as oppose to Takahiro's from the first run as lead. Kim taking the next outclip nicely and Takahiro stays on Kim at very good proximity. Kim switches, Takahiro right there with Kim. Kim basically doing what seemingly is the same wall run as Takahiro earlier on but on the last clip, has about a few centimeters deeper than what Takahiro did. Takahiro stays on Kim to the end door to door too. Verdict: Maybe the judges felt that Kim hit the line deeper. 2x from what I've seen doing a slow motion review. Very close match. Hmm, my friend also noted Takahiro at about 1:33 hitting the curb though I'm not sure if it is not allowed.
