Rinpoche begin with extensive dedication (as it was the end of session). Then explained about the different animal rebirths and the sufferings and unbelievable hardships, then through ignorance they create so much negative karma, then again if don’t realize emptiness, have to suffer again and again. So it is so important to practice dharma, it is the most important. Rinpoche explained a quote from Kyabje Khunu Lama Rinpoche quote: Remember bodhichitta when you feel discouraged, at that time it increases your heart power. Rinpoche then led an extensive meditation on emptiness: 1) The mind focused on the base, the aggregates, then that same mind, that same mind makes up the label “I.” Merely imputed the I. 2) The base, the aggregates, action of the I, object, samsara and nirvana, beyond samsara, including great nirvana, all the phenomena, all in reality are like this, that is the truth, that is the ultimate reality. Everything is merely imputed by the mind. From this you can see very easily there is no I at all. So all the rest of phenomena, is exactly like the I that is merely imputed by the mind. Rinpoche said we need to meditate the whole life, day and night, this is the real meditation, we need to make the mind positively habituated in this, the reality is totally opposite to normal life what we believed from beginningless rebirths, the way it appeared. Rinpoche then explained that in order to realize emptiness, it definitely depends on receiving the blessing of the guru and how to receive blessings of the guru is through your devotion to the guru. From your side looking at him as a buddha, trying to stop ordinary thought that is ordinary being, as the devotion gets stronger and stronger, then all the experience, even you didn’t do much meditation, it becomes very effective.
