A cold and fast system moving over Kern County today will bring more valley rain and mountain snow. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 4 p.m. for mountain locations above 2000' because of heavy bursts of snow with 1-3" accumulation possible! Watch out for snow on the passes, and be prepared to slow way down. There's a chance for afternoon thunderstorms in the desert locations, along with gusty winds behind the storm as it passes tonight. The sunshine and average temperatures in the low 60s return tomorrow.
