The Mayor and other senior officials from the West Rand District Municipality were held hostage in their offices by workers who were demanding to be paid. A deal was struck, which saw some workers receiving their money yesterday evening. The big question everyone's asking, is where did the money come from to suddenly pay employees, and what happens at the end of this month?
