This is it! The final showdown with Kuja is here, and it doesn't fail to disappoint! I was sitting on the edge of my seat during this entire fight. This is probably the luckiest I have gotten in any RPG ever.

In this part, we finally reach Kuja and see he is preparing to destroy The Crystal. He has gone absolutely insane, claiming if he has to die then everyone else should have to die too. First he sends some strange creature to fight us called Deathguise. It nearly catches us off guard, but we defeat it in the end. Then Kuja takes us on himself. No wonder he didn't want to go to Oeilvert because literally all of his attacks are magic attacks! His speed and power are relentless, but we defeat him in the end. After we defeat him, he casts an Ultima spell, which takes him and us out in the process. Somehow, we recover from the spell and hear a new voice speaking to us. This being known as Necron says now that The Crystal has been destroyed, he has to return everything to the Zero World by destroying everything both living and nonliving. We aim to stop him, but he proves to be the hardest enemy we have fought so far! Luckily, we just scrape by him, and he admires our will to live. We escape to the base of the Iifa Tree, where Cid is waiting to evacuate us on his airship. For some odd reason, Zidane decides he must return to the Iifa Tree and save Kuja. Why, I have no idea because Kuja is the last person I would want to save. So Cid leaves with everyone, sans Zidane, and leaves for Lindblum. Zidane reaches Kuja in the Iifa Tree, but we see both of them crushed by the tree's onslaught.

The final cutscene begins to play, and we see what has become of our characters. The Tantalus gang is going to Alexandria, which has now been rebuilt, to perform the play I Want to be Your Canary, and everyone is coming to watch it. Vivi has somehow had multiple children. Freya is reunited with Sir Fratley, and although he can't remember their past, they now love each other again. Quina is still... well... Quina. Eiko has apparently been adopted by Regent Cid and Lady Hilda, and she calls them her parents now. Amarant is still doing things on his own, but he is coming to watch the play too. Steiner and Beatrix have agreed to spend their lives protecting Garnet. Garnet is trying to get over the loss of Zidane. During the play, a character removes his cloak and reveals himself to be Zidane, and he and Garnet are reunited. It seems things worked out well for all of our characters. This is good because I was starting to get pretty upset thinking the developers were going to let Zidane die at the very end of the game.
