Ms. Hynes serves as the Director of the New Mexico Space Grant Consortium (NMSGC), and NASA Experimental Program for Competitive Research (EPSCoR). In her role as NMSGC Director, she has been involved in commercial space since 1991. In 2005, she founded the International Symposium for Personal and commercial Spaceflight (ISPCS) with Bill Gaubatz.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.
