British river has turned YELLOW

Bradford's ancient plumbing system meant curry houses were dumping their waste into the river without even realising it. Each time the curry houses were cleaning their dishes, the River Aire was being flooded with leftover curry. Rob Hellawell, an environmentalist from the curry-loving city, said: “It turned out the output was entirely innocent. “It wasn't like the business owners were throwing waste curry out of their window, they were just washing their pots as usual and unbeknown to them it was landing in the beck.
