The Philadelphia Police Department is seeking the assistance of the public in identifying the suspect for a carjacking in Ogontz.

On September 2. 2013, at 11:10am, while the complainant, a 28 year-old-male, was inside the 7-11 located at 1820 Stenton Avenue and as the complainant returned to his car, a 2006 Silver Chevy Monte Carlo which was parked in the parking lot, an unknown male entered his car and attempted to leave. The complainant then entered his car and began to struggle with the suspect for several blocks as the car was being driven. The complainant was then thrown from the car and as a result received minor injuries. The suspect then fled the area with the complainant's car east on Stenton Avenue, then south on Broad Street.

Suspect Description: Black male, 5'8″, 140lbs, thin build, scruffy beard, tattos on face, wearing an orange/red baseball cap, orange/black sweatshirt, dark colored pants and white/black pants.
Vehicle Description: 2006 Silver Chevy Monte Carlo with deep tinted windows.
