Szabolcs Szalai aka D-Slide was born on the 4th of November in 1987, in North-West Hungary, Győr. https://www.beatport.com/en-US/html/content/release/detail/276561/November He started to be interested in music at the age 15 with the Progressive Style. The series, Global Underground got him attached to the progressive music Steve Lawler's mix album out a big influence on him. He began to create music at the age 19 for the first time he did it only as a hobby. Then he discovered the Fruit Loops music creator Software and by this point he got to the work as a producer. In 2009 he started to cooperate with his friend Gergely Hódi alias Doxx. He was born at the same place on the 15th of October. He has been interested in progressive house since the age of 14. The old hits at this sort of music gave him the idea and it's still his preferred style. He started to work with Ableton Live at the age 16 and in October of 2008 the two of them started to work together as a dual dj team under the name D-Slide and Doxx. Many successful singles and remixes followed in late 2009 on Mistique and Soundtribe. 'November' is their second single for Mistique, the first being 'Jero' which was released in February of 2010. The 'November' original is a nicely textured, floaty progressive house track with lots of interesting and intricate melodic keys that should keep even the most discerning listener captivated. A fine selection of remixes are provided by: Frede Goto, Human8, Dark Soul Project and Loquai. The Human8 remix really brings some serious dancefloor punch, a very well shaped bassline provides a great groove and some funkiness. Lots of very cool sounds and a hovering atmosphere give the track a great sense of building tension and it should work winders for building anticipation on the dancefloor. Dark Soul Project turns in a deeply refined mix with a great ominous atmosphere and deep cool feel about it, certainly something Hernan Cattaneo might play. Frede Goto who is a relative newcomer on the quick rise has come up with a great old school sounding interpretation with very smooth lines and a nice warm sounding overall texture to the mix. Closing the package out is the veteran Loquai who can do no wrong at the moment with a string of unbelievable releases over the past few months. His mix offers a nice alternative with the melodic leads being softened a bit and a nice overall shuffle added to the groove. A good package from Mistique.
