RYOT’s Original Series ‘Brick By Brick’ highlights a different artist every week by providing each artist with a blank cinder block canvas as the artists creatively express their voice while challenging themselves as they adapt to a different art-form.

This week features Danny Minnick. Danny is a multi-faceted artist who not only paints, but is also a professional skateboarder and actor who has worked with well-known directors such as Gus Van Sant, Spike Jonze and Larry Clark. He spoke with us about why art programs should remain in schools and what he feels is the most beautiful thing about art.
