What's wrong with Rob Bell, Brian McLaren and the Emergent Church?

There are a whole bunch of names associated with this movement. Far too many to list here. Sometimes called "Emerging Church" or "Emergent Church" - but mainly it's a post-modern effort to redefine everything and it's NOT EVEN CLOSE to the same Jesus. My beef is multi-pronged. On the one hand, it's just another effort to refine "church" in a way that will get people to come - but still keep the box basically the same. It's still a top-down pyramid where one paid guy tells you what HE thinks you need to know. More than that, it's New Age, it's mysticism, it's syncretistic, it's a different Jesus, it's universalism, it's humanistic - and it's doctrines of demons. RUN.
