The better than expected Non-Farm Payrolls report provided a lot of calm for markets. While the US economy is seen as rebounding in Q3, this is not enough for the Fed to raise rates. In this scenario, risk-taking seems to be the name of the game. The greenback is weakening across the board, even against the yen. Oil prices have also found a footing and the action from the BOE adds to the sense of comfort. Will this continue? Probably not. A source of worry will be found soon enough, but for now, the summer mood is in full swing.
